1. To steal or seize something. Hey man, don't just gaffle my headphones—ask me if you want to use them. I heard she got arrested for gaffling a lipstick from the corner store.
2. To apprehend someone. After trying to gaffle these guys for months, we were finally able to bring them into the station tonight.
