1. To no longer be allowed to participate in something (often an academic program) due to failing grades. I started going to the tutoring center because another failing grade means I'll flunk out of school!
2. By extension, to fail in any pursuit. I flunked out as a model because I hated having to travel so much.
3. To give someone a grade that causes them to fail a course or academic program. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "flunk" and "out." But sir, if you don't give me at least a B, you'll flunk me out!
