1. slang To suddenly become emotional. Mom will flip out when she founds out we broke her vase! When Jenny saw that we'd rented a pony for her birthday party, she totally flipped out.
2. slang To go, or cause to go, crazy. I don't know what happened! I just mentioned that her father had called, and she started flipping out at me!
