To quickly push or pull something off of oneself. A noun or pronoun can be used between "fling" and "off." Ugh, once Mom came in, yelling that I had to get up, I had no choice but to fling the blankets off of myself and finally get out of bed.

2. to pull or take off an article of clothing. Larry flung his jacket off and went straight to the kitchen. He flung off his jacket.
