1. To find the point at which one had stopped reading, in order to start reading again. A: "Oh geez, my bookmark must have fallen out." 2. To find a job, setting, or situation that complements one's unique gifts, interests, or personality very well. It took me a while to find my place in college, but joining the literary magazine was a good start for an English major. You'll find your place eventually, don't worry.
