tasked with flagging misinformation on Facebook have been forced to reconsider how they handle funny posts due to the number of people misinterpreting satire as fact.

The app's end-to-end encryption allows groups of hundreds of users to exchange texts, photos and video beyond the purview of independent fact checkers
or even the platform itself.

rate the accuracy of the story, allowing Facebook to take action on those rated false by lowering them in the News Feed, and reduced the distribution of those Pages that are repeat offenders.
