drum into (someone)

To educate someone of something through intense and frequent repetition. A noun or pronoun can be used between "drum" and "into." The teacher tried drumming the material into them before the statewide exam, but he was still concerned they weren't getting it. You never listen to what I'm telling you! Do I have to drum it into you, or what?
