count up to (some number)

1. To count to a particular number. You count up to 30 while I hide, and then you come find me—that's how the game works.
2. To reach or equal a total amount. Unfortunately, the amount of money I owe on my student loans counts up to quite a lot.

1. to say or list the numbers from zero on up to a certain number. Can you count up to a million? I can count up to any number you name, and I will do it if you will stay around to listen.
2. to equal a specified total; to add up to something. That counts up to a lot. The money we earned today counts up to just enough to pay for the electricity we used today.
