cheese-cutter

1. obsolete A nose that is hooked in shape. A: "Well, I certainly hope that I don't pass my cheese-cutter on to our children—your dainty button nose is far more becoming." B: "Oh, but I like your nose, darling."
2. obsolete A hat shaped like a wedge. A: "What's up with those funny hats, Grandpa?" B: "We called those cheese-cutters, my dear. They were very in vogue once upon a time, believe it or not."
3. rude slang Someone who farts or has farted. No cheese-cutters allowed in the car. I don't want to have to smell it all the way home!
