To suddenly perform a particular action. My friends and I love theater, so you can always count on someone breaking out with song when we're together. My mother was fine this morning, but she broke out with tears at the funeral.

to utter or emit laughter, a shout, or a cry. The kids broke out with a cheer. They broke out with laughter every time they saw the lady with the red wig.
