blur out(redirected from blurs someone out)
To distort an image of a person or thing in order to make it difficult or impossible to distinguish. A noun or pronoun can be used between "blur" and "out." My job was blurring out nudity from R-rated movies that we would play on our TV network. Newspapers were required to blur the boy out in pictures to protect his identity.
