even better(redirected from better still)
A phrase used when talking about something that's more positive or exciting or a better option than that which preceded it. A: "Oh, I can come to the party now, and I'll definitely bring an appetizer." B: "Hey, even better!" I did get to my appointment on time and, even better, I didn't have to pay for parking! You could use a vacuum or, even better, a steam cleaner, to get all of this dirt off your rug.
