be on (one's) way to (someone or some place)

1. To be in the process of traveling to someone or some place. We were a little late leaving the house, but we're on our way to you now. A: "Are you home?" B: "No, sorry, I'm actually on my way to the library."
2. To be found or located along the route to someone or some place. We should pick up some flowers for your parents. I know of a good florist that's on our way to them. A: "You're sure you don't mind driving me to the mall?" B: "Not at all. It's on my way to work."
