To do something very frequently, hastily, or copiously. My husband took a baking course last week, and now he's making cupcakes as if they're going out of style! After getting his bonus, Jim started spending money as if it was going out of style. The parking authority around here was always pretty lowkey, but now they're ticketing people as if it's going out of style.
