Are you allergic to any medications?

Do you know of any medications that cause you to have an allergic reaction? A standard phrase used by medical professionals, particularly when collecting patient information. A: "Now, are you allergic to any medications?" B: "No, not that I know of." Are you allergic to any medications? No? OK, then I'd like to put you on antibiotic for a week. A: "Are you allergic to any medications?" B: "Yes, penicillin."
