It would be like labeling a doorbell as "Doorbell" when, to speak in the American grain, any fool can see that's what it is -- and no one would be fool enough to take it as a title, since (we are speaking of innocent eyes) a doorbell is not a work of art.
But it is hard to believe that any fool can see through work that has moved into the domain of the esoteric; nor, with such powerful symbols and juxtapositions of symbols, is it enough to let the eye be pleasured by the sweetness of the paint and the beauty of touch and color.
