1. A nonspecific phrase used to include things that are similar to that which is being discussed In this usage, the phrase can be extended to "all the rest of it." I need to find a stylist to do our hair and make-up and all the rest on the day of the wedding.
2. A phrase used to emphasize that something is really higher in number than one thinks. A: "I'm confident that we can get tickets for only $50." B: "And the rest."
