two-bit(redirected from a two-bit crook)
Nearly worthless; of only petty or minor significance. "Two bits" is an obsolete term for 25 cents, based on an older division of a dollar into eight "bits." Oh, Frank's just a two-bit criminal—he never could have masterminded an elaborate scheme like this. Any two-bit writer can string together a jumble of words and call it a poem.
