party guy

(redirected from a party guy)

party guy

A young man with a reputation for engaging in wild and exuberant social activities, possibly to excess. The term often implies excessive consumption of alcohol or drugs, as well as sexual promiscuity. I was known as something of a party guy during college. It made me popular, but I wish I had spent more time actually studying. I like to think I'm still a party guy, but giving up booze and drugs means that I'm in control of my partying now, not the other way around.
