a (real) frog-strangler(redirected from a frog-strangler)
a (real) frog-strangler
A particularly heavy or torrential downpour of rain. (Chiefly heard in the southern United States.) It's a real frog-strangler out there today—looks like we'll have to have our barbecue another day. There's no way I'm biking to work in a frog-strangler like this! That storm was a frog-strangler all right—I could hardly see the road in front of me on my drive!
