Someone who greatly enjoys eating and often preparing and learning about food, especially a variety of cuisines; a gourmet or food connoisseur. My sister's a real foodie, so if she recommended this place, it has to be good. I'm a foodie, so I loved the meal, but my kids wouldn't touch it.
