Thoroughly absorbed, involved, or immersed in someone or something. It's easy to get wrapped up in drama in high school, but there are so many things that are better uses of your time and energy. I got so wrapped up in her during the relationship that it felt like I had lost a part of myself. Don't bother trying to have a conversation with him right now, he's totally wrapped up in one of his video games.
