Something has several aspects or elements that remain unresolved or unfinished. The characters were compelling and the plot was interesting, but there were too many loose ends that just never went anywhere. There are still a few loose ends to deal with before I'm ready to consider this case closed. I want you to make sure there are no loose ends before we finalize the deal.
