Used to indicate some action, statement, characteristic, etc., perfectly encapsulates or summarizes someone or something. A: "Meh, I don't really care what grade I got. I'm in college to have fun and go on wild adventures with my friends!" B: "Oh, Tom, that's you in a nutshell!" A: "So, what's the movie about?" B: "Imagine The Lord of the Rings but set in outer space—that's it in a nutshell."
