stick with it

To continue trying to do or achieve something, especially after initial failures, challenges, or setbacks. If you really want to become a comic book artist, you have to stick with it! You can't just give up after your first rejection. It was tough getting back into the habit of exercising regularly, but I'm glad I've stuck with it.

Do not give up. stay with your task. Bill: I'm really tired of calculus. Father: stick with it. You'll be a better person for it. Bill: This job is getting to be such a pain. Sue: True, but it pays well, doesn't it? stick with it.
