scrape out of

scrape (something) out of (something)

To remove something from inside of something else with or as with the vigorous scrubbing of a rough, sharp, or hard-edged instrument. I used a spatula to scrape the last bit of sauce out of the pan. You'll need a special tool to scrape the rust out of the socket.
