1. adjective, slang Drunk. From Yiddish. He spent the whole evening getting shicker, much to the displeasure of his parents. I love this holiday. You're instructed to drink enough wine to get good and shicker!

2. noun, slang A drunkard; an alcoholic. That new boyfriend of Miriam's is nothing but a shicker. He can't even hold down a job! My father was a worthless shicker the whole time we were growing up. When he finally left for good, we were all just relieved more than anything.

3. noun, slang To drink alcohol to the point of drunkenness. They were up till 3 AM shickering, and now they're all feeling sicker than dogs. He's been neglecting his studies and his religious duties, preferring to spend the weekends shickering with those no-good friends of his.

1. and schicker and schickered (ˈʃɪkɚd) mod. alcohol intoxicated. (From Hebrew shiqor via Yiddish.) It took her about ten minutes to get schicker and three days to get sober.

2. n. liquor; beer. Fill it up with shicker again.

3. in. to tipple; to become alcohol intoxicated. I’m gonna go out and shicker till I’m silly.
