informal A nickname for the small plastic tripod placed in the center of a pizza to prevent a takeout pizza box from making contact with it. Were it not for the pizza table, the cheese would always get stuck to the top of the box. I always like to have my toys sit around the pizza table whenever my family ordered Domino's.
