1. offensive slang A derogatory term for someone who has a severe mental illness. Some nutcake went rambling through the mall this morning, screaming incomprehensibly at anyone who went near him. My step-father threatened to have me locked away with the other nutcakes in the asylum.

2. slang An eccentric, wacky, or idiotic person. Don't listen to a word that nutcake says. If you think that plan will work, then you're more of a nutcake than I thought! My friend Jake is a total nutcake, always pulling the most reckless, crazy stunts.
