not give a fig (for someone or something)

To not care in the slightest (about someone or something); to not have any interest at all (in someone or something). I don't give a fig for politics, to be honest, so I don't bother voting. He made it perfectly clear that he doesn't give a fig, so I didn't bother to invite him. They don't give a fig for their customers—they only care about making money!
