There has never been a nine-shilling note in circulation in the UK.) Primarily heard in UK. The guy said he was selling Rolexes, but this thing is bent as a nine-bob note. The politician's hammed-up, teary-eyed speech was as bent as a nine-bob note, if you ask me. A: "I'm sorry, but your so-called Louis Vuitton bag is bent as a nine-bob note." B: "What? How can you tell?"

2. Completely or blatantly not heterosexual or cisgender. Offensive when used pejoratively. Primarily heard in UK. Honey, I'm as bent as a nine-bob note and proud of it. My parents were not terribly surprised when I came out. I'm bent as a nine-bob note and always knew it—and I think they did too.
