make good as (something)

To be skilled or successful in some particular position, role, or job. Just because you are a skilled singer and dancer doesn't somehow mean you'll make good as an actor automatically. The ideal candidate makes good as both a leader and supervisor as well as a team player who isn't afraid to work side by side with his or her team.
