To become lost; to become unable to find the correct course forward. Sarah lost her way home walking through the woods in the dead of night when the clouds obscured the stars overhead. I think we've lost the way. Maybe we should stop somewhere and ask for directions. I feel like I've been losing my way in life ever since I lost my job.
