1. To be unable to use some body part. I lost the use of my eyes when I was only five, so I don't really have a sense of what anything truly looks like. She lost the use of her left leg after it got trapped underneath the wheel of the tractor.
2. To have something taken away from one; to be deprived of something. She lost the use of the PlayStation for failing another test. Repeat offenders will lose the use of their company laptops outside of the office.
