live in the public eye
To live one's life in a way that causes them to be well known and attract a lot of attention and scrutiny, as of a celebrity. Yes, celebrities make a lot of money, but living in the public eye and getting recognized all the time has its drawbacks, I'm sure. It's really tough to live in the public eye while going through a divorce, but at least my fans have been supportive.
