In sports, especially football (soccer), to win a game or series of games without allowing the opposing side to score any points. Primarily heard in UK. The team has kept a clean sheet for the last three games in a row. I don't think anyone can score against them! It's the first time in her career that the goalie has kept a clean sheet in a championship match.
