In a wild, frantic hurry to go somewhere or do something. The students are always in a mad dash to get to their classes after the bell. We were in such a mad dash to get to the airport on time that we didn't even have time to stop for lunch. With only a month to go, we were all in a mad dash to get the software finished on time before the release date.
