illin'
slang
1. Behaving in an erratic or unpleasant manner. Oh man, he's really illin'—I have no idea why he just stormed out of here. If Josh is illin', then I don't want to be anywhere near him. I'm not gonna be the next person he yells at! Dude, quit illin' and just relax—this really isn't a big deal.
2. Unhappy. A: "Why's she illin' today?" B: "Well, it looks like she got an F on her psych paper. I bet that has something to do with it." A: "Nick's illin' because his girlfriend dumped him." B: "Ouch." Hey, just because you're illin' doesn't mean you get to make the rest of us miserable!
3. Sick or unwell. I was illin' last week, that's why I was absent. Why is it that everyone's magically illin' when I need them to help me move? A: "Have you seriously been illin' for the past 10 months?" B: "Yep. I have pneumonia, and it just won't go away."
