have a hunch (about someone or something)

To have a strong intuitive feeling about someone or something. I can't explain it, I just have a hunch that Maggie's pregnant. Mom keeps saying that she has a hunch about our trip. She really seems to think something bad is going to happen to us. I knew something was going on with Carrie! I just had a hunch that she was keeping something from me.

to have an idea about what did, will, or should happen; to have a feeling that something will or should happen. I had a hunch that you would be here when I arrived. I have a hunch about the way things will happen.
