grab away from (someone or something)

To seize or snatch someone or something from someone or something else. A noun or pronoun can be used between "grab" and "away." I grabbed my report card away from my sister before she could she could show it to Mom. I ran and grabbed the broken toy away from my daughter before she hurt herself. If you can't tell what the dog has in his mouth, just grab it away from him. It could very well be something dangerous!
