going high

slang A drug-induced high that lasts for a long time. If she's got a going high, she won't need any more of that stuff for a while. A: "This guy's still stoned! Do you know what he took?" B: "Nah, man. I wish I had a going high like that!" If you've got a going high, there's no way I'm letting you get behind the wheel of a car!
