To move backward or in the opposite direction. I just worry that our store's sales will go into reverse once everyone reads that terrible review. I started the engine, went into reverse, and ended up hitting our neighbor's trashcan. Whoops. Sure, everybody wants to keep ascending toward the majors, but when you get injured, things go into reverse for a while.
