To call one on the phone. Primarily heard in UK, Australia. Give me a bell after the movie, and we can meet somewhere for a drink. Let me give her a bell and see what she thinks about all this. A: "I tried to give you a bell, but it went straight to voicemail." B: "Ah, that's because my phone's dead."
