To cause bumps to appear on one's skin where one's body hair stands on end as the result of an intense feeling of cold, nervousness, anxiety, excitement, or fear. The sound of the scream was so chilling that it gave us all goose bumps! Their concert was incredible. It actually gave me goose bumps to hear my favorite song performed live! This room is so cold that it's giving me goose bumps.
