obsolete slang Someone with a perpetually cheerful demeanor. I don't know how Lord Brenton tolerates the swooning gigglemugs that follow him around. I prefer a serious woman myself. Tone down your enthusiasm, OK? Everything irks Lady Edith, including gigglemugs. I know you think she's just a silly gigglemug, but I prefer that to someone who's perpetually dour.
