To show one's interest in enjoying a social event by dressing appropriately or participating in related activities. I specifically wore red and green to get into the spirt of Christmas. Come on, dance with us! Get into the spirit! How am I supposed to get into the spirit of homecoming when I'm grounded and can't go to the dance?
