get down with (someone or something)

1. To accept, agree with, or be in support of someone or something. Usually used after "can" or "could." I just couldn't get down with the way they were running the company, so I quit. So far he's the only politician I can get down with. A: "We could go out to dinner tonight." B: "Hmm, yeah, I'm down with that."
2. To be on friendly terms with or enjoy the company of somebody. Usually used after "can" or "could." I've never really gotten down with my coworkers outside of the workplace. John has always seemed like someone I could get down with. A: "Wait, I thought you got down with Heather." B: "That was before our big fight."
3. To dance with someone, especially in an energetic and sexually suggestive manner. I had just started getting down with this really attractive guy on the dance floor when the fire alarm suddenly went off. No wonder you're so sweaty—you were getting down with the hottest girl in the whole club! Last I saw Sheila, she was getting down with some other drunk girls on the dance floor.
