1. To become angry or irritated. A: "Why isn't Adam talking to you?" B: "Oh, he got cheesed off by some joke I made the other night." I would try not to get in the boss's way today if you can help it—she got cheesed off as soon as she saw the quarterly sales figures. Of course Mom and Dad are gonna get cheesed off when they see that you dented their new car!
2. To cause someone to become angry or irritated. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "cheesed" and "off." Nothing gets me cheesed off quite like someone cutting me off in traffic! Why would you move Janine's stuff? You know that gets her cheesed off. Why would you start a rumor about the guy you like? Are you trying to get him cheesed off?
