To embrace or begin to embrace a lifestyle that values and attempts to increase time spent outdoors or in rural or wild places, and related activities, in contrast to modern urban life. My hippie sister really wanted to get back to nature, but I like modern technology too much to do that. Why are you guys going camping? I'm sorry, but I have no desire to get back to nature on a vacation! I'm sick of watching the kids stay inside and play video games all day this summer—they need to get back to nature!
