get back on track

To resume some operation or activity as planned or expected, typically after a problem or distraction. A noun or pronoun can be used between "get" and "back." I'm sure all of you have very interesting weekend plans, but we need to get this meeting back on track. My project got sidelined by a couple emergencies in the office, but I'm finally getting back on track with it now. Has the train schedule gotten back on track yet? I know there were a lot of delays this morning.
